Job Title: Structural Steel Shop Superintendent

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Structural Steel Shop Superintendent to oversee operations in our steel fabrication shop. This role will involve managing the fabrication process, supervising a team of fabricators and welders, ensuring quality control, and inspecting welds. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience working in structural steel fabrication and welding.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supervise daily operations of the steel fabrication shop, ensuring that production targets are met on time and within budget.
* Manage and lead a team of fabricators, welders, and other shop personnel, fostering a safe, productive, and efficient work environment.
* Ensure all fabricated steel structures meet project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
* Inspect welds and oversee quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship.
* Collaborate with project managers and engineers to review fabrication drawings, schedules, and project needs.
* Maintain shop equipment and tools, ensuring proper maintenance and operational efficiency.
* Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
* Troubleshoot and resolve any fabrication or welding issues that arise during production.
* Ensure compliance with all industry codes, regulations, and company policies.

Requirements:

* 5+ years of experience in structural steel fabrication and welding.
* Strong knowledge of steel fabrication processes, welding techniques, and quality control standards.
* Proven experience in managing teams and overseeing daily shop operations.
* Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints.
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
