What you ll do

The Senior Software Engineer (iOS) reports to the Mobile Engineering Manager and works closely with cross-functional teams including design, product, and backend development to ensure seamless, high-quality product delivery.

In this role, you will drive the design, development, and delivery of world-class native iOS applications.

Your Impact

• Design, develop, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Swift, SwiftUI, and Objective-C code.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and bring innovative features to life.

• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.

• Identify and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks.

• Uphold and propagate best practices in mobile software design, ensuring rigorous code reviews and architectural evaluations.

• Engage in architectural discussions and actively contribute to the technical decision-making process.

• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of innovation, quality, and growth.

• Continuously research, evaluate, test, and implement new technologies to optimize application performance and development efficiency.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest iOS trends, technologies, and best practices.

What you bring to the table

• Minimum 5 years professional iOS development experience

• Proven track record of shipping high-quality iOS applications to the App Store

• Proficient in Swift, SwiftUI, and Objective-C

• Experience with iOS frameworks such as UIKit

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect applications to back-end services

• Knowledge of modern architectural patterns like MVVM, etc.

• Understanding of Apple's design principles and Human Interface Guidelines

• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality

• Bachelor s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience

Bonus points

• Experience in Reactive Programming (RxSwift/Combine)

• Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Animation, Core Data, Core Graphics, etc.

• Experience with performance and memory tuning-using tools

• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications

• Familiarity with continuous integration (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Xcode Server)

• Experience with travel domain a plus

Location

This role is remote and can be located anywhere inside the continental United States. iSeatz is a New Orleans-based company with Central Time Zone business hours, but feel free to work from your home office, from the beach, or from the cottage you rented for the summer!
