Job Description

Our client, a well-known fashion brand in San Francisco, is looking for a Merchant to join their Global Merchandising team and support the Licensed Accessories category for a 2-3 month contract. This role work a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Primary focus on licensed categories: Kids, Socks and Underwear, and Eyewear
• Act as an expert for licensed categories and consumer by understanding the competitive landscape and consumer trends
• Cultivate and manage relationships with licensee partners to develop best-in-class products for the brand
• Collaborate with Licensing Ops to build go-to-market calendar to ensure deliverables are met on time
• Partner with internal and external teams to build and execute a strategic vision for licensed categories that will meet long-term financial goals
• Work with cluster merchandising teams to develop global DTC seasonal briefs for each licensed category that consider market and regional variances
• Participate in milestone product review meetings with Design and Licensing Partners
• Prepare and deliver presentations to cross-functional teams and senior leaders and at licensing organizations
• Participate and present in business review meetings
• Update Design and Licensed partners on product performance, highlighting outcomes and future actions
• Leverage marketplace insights, competitive analysis and sell out trends to drive data informed decisions

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline
• 3+ merchandising experience in apparel or accessories; licensing experience a plus!
• Strong knowledge and proficiency with MS Office and Adobe applications (Adobe Editor, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Product development knowledge of apparel and accessories
• Excellent analytical skills
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced environment
