We are excited to invite a passionate and experienced Editing Instructor to join our dynamic faculty team. If you have a love for filmmaking and a desire to inspire the next generation of filmmakers, we would love to hear from you!
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in filmmaking or a related field (or equivalent experience).
At least five years of professional experience in the film industry.
A strong reel showcasing your best work.
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere is essential; Adobe Certified Instructor status is a plus.
Experience with HD and 4K footage, as well as professional editing workflows.
While teaching experience is preferred, it is not required.
About the Role: This position is available for the Summer of 2024, with a semester duration of 15 weeks. Instructors are expected to commit to at least 6 hours of teaching per week. Many of our classes are conducted online, so comfort with remote teaching is essential. To support your efforts, we provide access to an online learning specialist who will assist in course development.

Compensation: $50 - $60 per hour
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Dean to develop engaging curricula tailored to each class.
Effectively engage students in the learning process and create a supportive environment for them to excel.
Complete teaching responsibilities in a timely and professional manner.
Participate in bi-monthly faculty meetings and collaborate closely with school administration on attendance and grading matters.
Work together with teaching assistants to enhance the learning experience.
Conduct individual meetings with students to provide personalized guidance and support.
Create and refine course syllabi to meet the diverse needs of students.
