Job Title: Contracts Manager (Due 9-20 at 9am ET)
Location: Tallahassee, Florida (100% Onsite))
Duration: 1 yr, plus extension
Rate: W2 + CHP
Start Date: October, 2024
Scope of Work/Job Characteristics:
The Contract Management Coordinator's duties and responsibilities of this position are as follows:
• Assist in the review of contracts for goods and services by established standards;
• Identify and document all deliverables and associated due dates for each contract;
• Coordinate the review, acceptance, and rejection of deliverables as defined in the contract by stakeholders and project team members;
• Maintain contract compliance and established standards;
• Provide progress updates regarding receipt of deliverables for each contract and due dates to the Business Solutions Bureau Chief;
• Ensure all contract artifacts are maintained in line with established standards and other documentation to ensure compliance with Section 287.057, Florida Statutes, (F.S.);
• Work closely with customers, stakeholders, and IT software developers to document contract deliverables;
• Assist in the recommendation and development of business process improvement;
• Follow a set of standard practices that ensure the integrity and quality of contracts;
• Assist in the development of Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM); and
• Work independently as part of a larger cross-functional team.
NOTE: This position is designated as "essential staff" and is expected to report for duty when instructed to do so in times of emergency or potential emergency as required by Section 33-208.002(4), Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.).
Required Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in business administration or other related field and Certification as a Professional Contract Manager (CPCM), or four (4) years of equivalent work experience is required.
The Department requires the following experience, skills, and/or knowledge for this position:
• A minimum of 4 years of finance or contract management experience;
• Effective verbal and written communication skills;
• Ability to understand and apply applicable statutes, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures;
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; and
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to enable and guide project managers and leadership teams through complex contracts and challenges.
NOTE: In addition to the above list, the selected Candidate must successfully complete a Level II Background Check.
Preferred Qualifications:
The Department prefers the Candidate to have the following experience, skills, and/or knowledge for this position:
• Possess a Florida Certification as a Contract Manager (FCCM) issued by the Florida Department of Management Services
• Experience managing IT services deliverable-based agreements;
• Experience managing contracts with a State of Florida agency; and
• Understand IT systems and technologies.
