We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Retail Officer to lead the retail and marketing operations for our organization. This position plays a key role in ensuring the operational and financial success of multiple retail stores while driving growth and maximizing revenue. You will collaborate closely with the executive leadership team to develop and implement strategies that create a positive customer experience, drive business performance, and support the overall mission. Your leadership will foster a winning culture that prioritizes employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Retail Operations Leadership:
Oversee and manage the operating and capital budgets for retail operations, ensuring revenue targets, customer satisfaction, and staff performance goals are met.
Strategic Direction:
Develop and implement effective sales strategies and ensure adherence to company policies. Continuously assess and improve retail processes for greater efficiency and customer impact.
Reporting & Financial Oversight:
Provide timely and accurate reports on the organization's operational condition. Lead the management of budgets, staff development, and scorecard adherence to ensure financial success.
Stakeholder Communication:
Regularly update the CEO and Board of Directors on operational progress and strategic initiatives. Represent the organization in internal and external engagements, promoting its mission and building relationships within the community.
Growth & Expansion:
Collaborate with the leadership team to design and execute growth strategies, ensuring sustained success and operational scalability.
Asset Management:
Oversee retail operational assets, ensuring adherence to safety, integrity, and ethical standards while maintaining a positive store atmosphere.
Collaborative Leadership:
Work closely with other departments, particularly marketing, to ensure that external communications and marketing initiatives align with organizational needs. Provide direction on growth strategies and business processes that drive long-term success.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
BA/BS in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
15+ years of experience in multi-unit retail or thrift operations, including significant sales management and strategic leadership roles.
Extensive experience in marketing, merchandising, and operational administration.
Strong understanding of emerging customer experience trends, with a creative, entrepreneurial approach to solutions.
Proven success in managing complex, high-volume organizations, with experience in strategic planning and financial oversight.
Expertise in multi-channel solutions, including social media, mobile, POS, and CRM technologies.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of interacting with senior leaders, front-line teams, and external stakeholders.
Additional Requirements:
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand, walk, sit, and lift/move up to 20 pounds.
Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes hectic environment with tight deadlines.
Other:
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Position Details:
This is a full-time, exempt position offering medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 403(b) retirement plan, as well as flex-time off.
Work Conditions:
The work environment includes office spaces, production areas, and retail showrooms. Occasional physical exertion may be required due to handling merchandise.
