Your Role as a Banquet Captain:

  • Lead with Confidence: Direct and motivate a team of banquet servers, ensuring that service is efficient, professional, and consistently exceeds guest expectations.

What We're Looking For:

  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading teams, particularly in hospitality or event management.
  • Customer Service Excellence: A strong background in providing top-notch service, with a minimum of three years in the industry.
  • Certification: City of Boise Alcohol Server Certification is required.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks with precision and efficiency, even in a fast-paced environment.
  • Calm Under Pressure: You remain composed and effective, no matter how busy things get.
  • Professionalism: A polished, reliable, and approachable demeanor that reflects Boise Centre's high standards.

Physical Demands of the Job:

  • Event Ready: Capable of carrying and balancing trays at shoulder height, navigating through a busy event space with ease.
  • On Your Feet: Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods, with frequent bending, lifting, and physical activity.
  • Stay Active: You'll stay engaged with plenty of variety in your day as you navigate the event space and assist where needed.
  • Flexible Schedule: Willingness to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on the needs of our events.
